At the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, Tajinderpal Singh Toor, a 28-year-old shot-putter from India, clinched the gold medal in the men's shot-put competition by achieving his best throw of 20.36 meters. This marks his second consecutive gold medal win at the Asian Games, following his victory at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, where he threw a best distance of 20.75 meters.
